Dave Siegel is to quit as chairman of Scottish Cup finalists Ross County. |
He has confirmed he will step down from the post at the end of the month.
He told BBC Scotland: "I've had a wonderful time. I wouldn't have missed the ride for anything, it's been terrific. But the demands on a chairman are very high. We played 50 games this season and there's a lot of work behind the scenes, which was very time consuming. It was eating into my own business time and into my personal time, good quality family time."
The Irn-Bru First Division club dumped Hibernian and Celtic out of the Active Nation Scottish Cup, before losing to Dundee United in last Saturday's final at Hampden.
Siegel added: "Although we didn't win the cup, I think we won the hearts and minds of everybody in the Highlands and Scotland and probably beyond." Source: PA |
